Kent Smith

Asst. Dir. of Planned Giving, Western Region

Kent Smith joined the NRA Office of Advancement in the Planned Giving Department in 2008. Born and raised in south Texas, Smith began hunting as a youth and became an NRA member at the age of 12.

Later in life, as a graduate of Texas A&M Kingsville, he went on to earn his law degree from the University of Houston. Since graduating law school, Smith has been a bank trust officer, estate planning consultant, and founding partner in a Texas law firm.

In 2006, Smith and his wife relocated to Angel Fire, New Mexico, where he became a fundraiser for the NRA Whittington Center. An avid shooter, Smith competes yearly as a member of the National Sporting Clays Association, and hunts big game in Texas and ducks in Louisiana annually.
